Hi! I'm Hamza, an Embedded Software Engineer from the University of Waterloo beginning my career in NYC at Distributed Spectrum.
Outside of engineering I love being creative through dance, music production, writing lyrics/poetry, DJing, and occasional youtube videoing.
I worked under Dr. Crystal Senko integrating a wavelength meter into the control system for the development of a new quantum computing apparatus.
I was employee number 1 at a radio software startup and developed the short-range communication system that powered the command and control of a new suite of SDR sensors.
As a software engineer intern, I developed a prototype device register map application that allowed engineers to view and edit register bitmaps for all the chip they were working on in a more streamlined, robust interface.
I was a full stack developer adding new features to a donor discovery platform by leveraging open-source data sets to surface insightful connections to our customers.
As a technology analyst intern, I sped up database queries by restructuring their hierarchy and built a web app to manage emergency contacts.
Over 2 years at the UW Hip Hop Club, I directed 3 dance teams, choreographed and taught 5 classes, perfomed on 3 teams, organized beginning and end of term events, and learned a LOT of grooves. It was one of the highlights of my Waterloo experience and I'm excited to keep dancing wherever I go.

As an excercise to learn the math behind computer graphics, I made a 3D rendering engine only using the Pygame library. Basic geometry, lighting, model rendering, and some additional features included.
